Hey friends,

It feels crazy to me but it seems like there is so much happening in the AI coding world. I am trying out this new format to quickly share everything that I came across over the last week. Let me know if you have any feedback!

The week in 60 seconds

  • Anthropic shipped Sonnet 5.5. Anthropic says it's 30% faster than Sonnet 5 and costs up to 30% less for most work. Its own benchmark table puts it close to Opus 5.5 on most tests. Announcement

  • OpenAI held Dev Day. The big launch was GPT-6.1 Sol. OpenAI says it's nearly as smart as its top model, Astra, for a fifth of the price. OpenAI also launched Dots, an always-on personal agent, and a new $500/month plan. Users say the $200 plan now comes with about half the usage. Sol · Full recap

  • Google announced Gemini 4 Argon. Google says it scores 77.9% on DeepSWE, a test of long software tasks, which is the best score so far. It can write up to 1 million tokens in a single answer. Launch price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output. For now, only a small group of security teams can use it. Announcement

So true - we all know the last 10% take 80% of the time

I can finally talk to Claude again

In case you missed it, great talk by @poteto on how she ships 2000 (!) PRs to prod!

What'd you think of this new format? Hit reply and tell me.
